Mark Bardill has served local government as a Special Tax Attorney for more than 25 years. During this period, Mr. Bardill has collected the delinquent taxes on thousands ofparcels. He has been instrumental in developing the foreclosure program as a method of tax collection for each unit of local government he has served. His efforts in getting these foreclosure programs off the ground to full and complete implementation have resulted in greatly reduced delinquency rates in the counties he serves. Some of the tax offices he has helped now allow only 1 year of delinquent taxes before foreclosure proceedings are filed.

Mr. Bardill graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1981 as a Mark Braswell Scholar. In 1985, he graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law as a member of its Moot Court Bench.
